Research
- Biopharmaceutics (lead
by prof. Hans Lennernäs) studies the interaction between drugs and
biological processes, such as membrane transport and metabolism, in order
to obtain the ultimate clinical effect of a drug.
- Drug Delivery (lead by prof. Per Artursson) studies the absorption, distribution and delivery of drugs and develops new in vitro and computer models for predictions of ADMET properties for drug discovery and development.
- Pharmacy Practice and Policy (lead by dr Sofia Kälvemark-Sporrong) focuses on scientific evaluation of pharmaceutical treatment, especially from the point of view of the patient, for example in terms of quality
of life.
- Pharmaceutical
Physical Chemistry (lead by prof. Martin Malmsten) develops
design principles for pharmaceutically relevant systems at a molecular
and colloidal scale.
- Pharmaceutics (lead
by prof. Göran Alderborn) studies pharmaceutical formulation and
manufacturing.
- Pharmacoepidemiology
and Pharmacoeconomics (lead by prof. Dag Isacson) studies
